When redesigning the entrance of the 5 Star Edwardian Hampshire hotel on Leicester Square, the Radisson in house design team employed the expertise at ALMA Floor for the manufacture and installation of a feature leather floor for the reception and concierge area.

The requirement was for a very specific chevron design leather floor. The flooring leather had to be a colour, texture and aesthetic that worked within the overall interior design scheme.

The leather flooring had to be durable enough to perform within a front of house commercial area.

The ALMA Floor team produced a choice of bespoke leather flooring colour samples. Once a colour was chosen and signed off a 1m x 1m sample panel featuring the chevron components of the desired size and design was produced and presented to the design team for their testing and final approval.

ALMA was given only a short time frame to install the leather flooring at the end of the overall refurbishment programme.

After installation, the leather floor was covered and protected until practical completion of the reception area.

With all trades finished on site, the ALMA team returned to remove the floor protection and deep clean the floor for final hand over.
